Upstate New York, Circa 1812
This fan (or "paterae") carved tour-de-force was designed and made at the request of one of our clients in Williamsburg, VA. It was inspired by a doorway on a historic house in Owego, NY. The design was so successful we have added it to our line.

The 36" solid mahogany raised-panel door is made with full mortise and tenon construction. It is hung in a cock-beaded jamb with two sidelights. The outside façade has four fluted and reeded pilasters with plinths and hand-carved convex fan capitals. The full frieze boasts a large carved center medallion and four more carved fans, concave here. The crown assembly is stepped in the middle to accentuate the carved center medallion.

The door is shipped completely primed on all sides, in four main sections for your workmen to assemble on site. Door without available options is $6,350.00 plus shipping and sales tax, if applicable. Historic, mouth-blown glass is also available for the sidelights, as are period knocker hardware and reproduction box locks with modern keying. Interior trim treatments, including carved capitals, are available. We can also match your existing trim treatments. Door is approx. 104" wide x 102" tall (opening in wall is approx. 96" wide x 84" tall). Please contact us for a quote on a door to meet your exact specifications.
